WELCOME TO THE POLNOON WEBSITE
'Formed in 1961, Polnoon was named after the castle in the village of Polnoon near Eaglesham in Lanarkshire. It was in this general area that the club first operated. In those days, members hacked from their stables to the shows, competed then hacked back home!'
Polnoon now runs an extensive series of activities each month for its members including club nights and schooling sessions (inside during the winter months) and a variety of training days all of which are held at a number of local venues and with a variety of trainers covering all aspects of equestrianism. In addition, the club runs annual events: dressage show, hunter show and annual show as well as the famous Polnoon Dinner Dance in November.
The riding club calendar runs from November to October each year. At the moment Polnoon have 127 members.
