Polnoon Annual Beach Ride and Barbecue at Irvine Beach Ayrshire
Every year, come rain or shine, Polnooners and friends take to the beach at Irvine, on foot or on horseback, and enjoy the company of other horse enthusiasts. The barbecue will be lit and ready around 7pm. Bring whatever meat or burgers you want and Polnoon will supply the rolls and drinks for a small contribution to club funds. This is a fun evening open to anyone, so please come along and enjoy the socializing and, if you have a mind to, a ride in good company on the beach. No booking required. We look forward to seeing you there.

BRC Area 1 Open Horse Trials Qualifier at Floors Castle Kelso
The Open Horse Trials Area 1 Qualifier will be run as an extraction of results from the Novice Section at Floors Castle Horse Trials on Sunday 20th May. Members need to put BRC Area 1 Qualifier in the box on the BE entry form, as all BRC Qualifier entries will be in the same section. BRC members enter as per a normal BE event. Clubs must submit Preliminary Entries in the usual way. Those considering entering the Qualifier should have had at least two clear XC runs at BE Novice level.

Edinburgh Riding of the Marches 2012 at Edinburgh
The 2012 Edinburgh riding Of The Marches will take place on Sunday 9th September (the 499th anniversary of the Battle of Flodden). Ride registration opens on Thursday 9th February at 8pm. You can register through this site after that time by visiting the 2012 Ride Registration page and filling in the form. A non-returnable registration fee of £10 is required at point of registration. The registration fee goes entirely towards the costs of holding the event. Remember, the ride tends to fill up real quick so don't hang about. GOOD LUCK and whether you are riding or not, we hope to see you on the Royal Mile on 9th September.
