The Polnoon Golden Jubilee Show and Party at Rowallan on 4th June 2011.
OK. So the Club is 50 years old this year. What do we do to celebrate?
First, we make sure that there are extras throughout the year - such as a membership discount for early renewers.
Then, there will be little extras throughout the year, designated charities who will benefit from donations collected at club events and a new web site (this one!) which will help members with information on everything to do with Polnoon.
But we didn"t think that was enough! So we decided to run a super show, combining our annual Dressage Show and our annual Showing Show, get great prizes for the day and hold it at Rowallan, by kind permission of Lord & Lady Rowallan.
Get your schedule for the Jubilee Show in Partnershhip with Hamilton Tarmac here!
We also decided to have a party! We all love a party and the Polnoon Party, which is after the Jubilee Show, will end the day with a bang!
Invitations have gone out to past members. There are many past members, some sadly no longer with us; to absent friends. But the many, who continue to thrive, are welcome to join us on the day. If you are a past member and have not yet received an invitaion, please contact us - we really want everyone to get the chance to be there. (This is by invitation only as we need to know numbers in advance).
The Jubilee Show, in Partnership with Hamilton Tarmac, has 6 dressage classes and 17 showing classes. The dressage will run indoors in Rowallan's fabulous facility. The showing classes will run in the spacious outdoor arenas.
Prizes have been donated by NAF, Victoria Cooper, Millbrae Saddlery, Henderson Butchers, Shoe Secure, Scottish & Northern Equestrian Magazine, The Scottish Farmer, Specialist Embroidery Services, Dodson & Horrell & Blue Chip.
The Supreme Show Champion will receive an embroidered Whitaker Rug with the Reserve Champion receiving a pencil portrait by Victoria J Cooper.
The final class of the day is Fancy Dress. The theme is the 60s, since the club began in 1961. This class is FREE and open to all; so end the day with a smile and join in the fun!
Sheona McNeill has worked tirelessly, raising sponsorship to support the show and enabling us to make the day a very special event.
Our sponsors are listed on this web site and also on the schedule.
The following individuals have also supported the show:- The Beattie Family, Stewart Christie, Sheena Clifford, Marion Collins, Suzy Reid & Family, the Smillie Family & Tommy Too II.
Thank you all very much for your support!

Polnoon has a twin club in the USA - French Creek Dressage - and, yep, the Yanks are coming!
Thanks to generous sponsorship from Mountain Horse, Blue Chip and others, a gaggle of FCDers will be arriving at the end of May to help Polnoon celebrate 50 years of riding fun.
Not content with just being here, they will be borrowing horse and competing at the Jubilee Show at Rowallan on Saturday 4th June.
They are also entering a team at the Area 1 Dressage Qualifiers on the following day - Sunday 5th June.
It has taken a lot of organizing on both sides of the Pond. Louise Beam of FCD and her team have been running events to raise funds, selling products and generally raising the roof in preparation for this trip, which has been two years in the planning.
The French Creek visitors will be operating in superstar mode, as they will have a TV crew in tow during their visit!
We shall try to do them proud, while they are here. As they are only able to stay for a week (paid holiday entitlement is not a patch on the UK), there is much to pack in. Apart from the fun of riding new horses in new places, some of the visitors will be doing their first, competitive dressage test. How's that for bold?!
Area 1 has arranged a special set of rosettes for their team at the Qualifiers - a generous gesture by Area 1 Chairman Jennifer Rentoul.
The Polnoon Party, which follows the Jubilee Show (see across the page for more), will be a good chance for our American guests to meet and find out about riding and riders here.
