Sunday the 1st of April saw the first open event on the Polnoon calendar for 2007. It was our spring annual Showjumping show held at Muirmill Equestrian centre at Dundonald. We started off at 9am with the clear round class which gave the early birds a chance to get a quick round under their belt before the competition classes kicked off at 10am.
All the classes were very well attended and as is the usual format for our Showjumping shows all class winners received a lovely Showjumping trophy as well as their rosette.
The lovely spring weather and the great mix of competitors (some of which had travelled all the way across from Arran on the ferry) made for a really upbeat and friendly atmosphere.
Thanks has to go to Steven Cowan for being an absolute magician with the number of fences he had to work with and of course the team of volunteers that managed to last most of the day in the slightly, dusty to say the least, environment, Thelma, Nicola, Karen, Kate, Jess and Rosemary thanks you guys we couldn’t run these events without you!!
